Purchasing a CSC Motorcycle. Shipping and Motorcycle Registration.

CSC Motorcycles tries to make the delivery and registration of your new motorcycle as painless as possible!

After purchasing your CSC Motorcycle (online or over the phone) you will be contacted by email to confirm the purchase and verify some critical information.

In the video below, Sara goes over the important information you will need to provide to schedule the shipping of your new motorcycle, and to complete the paperwork necessary for the registration upon delivery:

1.        The name (or names) and address for the DMV registration

2.        The correct shipping address for the delivery

3.        Please include if that is a business or residential address

4.        Phone number for the trucking company to contact you to schedule the delivery

5.        A copy of your driver's license

The sooner you provide these details, the sooner the shipment can be scheduled.

Note: The details above are ALSO required if you are taking delivery of your motorcycle at the CSC showroom in Azusa, California. MANY new owners prefer to take delivery in person. While picking up your new moorcycle bypasses the shipping process, the same details apply to the pre-delivery and registration of your new CSC motorcycle.

While the paperwork is being processed, your order is delivered to the CSC Service Department where your motorcycle is completely assembled and then prepped with all the necessary fluids. The new motorcycle is thoroughly inspected by a qualified motorcycle technician, then test ridden to ensure flawless operation.

After assembly and inspection, the new motorcycle is secured to a pallet, then enclosed in a sturdy custom-made carton - along with any stock or after-market parts you may have ordered. The pallet is then loaded into a truck for transport to your address. (Some larger models are shipped fully assembled, on their wheels, by specialized motorcycle transport companies.)

All shipping is done through a third-party freight company and not CSC Motorcycles, but CSC will send you an email with the shipping and tracking information provided by the freight company.

The DMV registration procedures for motorcycles vary from state to state.

Customers in California will receive their paperwork by US Mail. The forms must be completed and returned to CSC within 10 days to avoid any late charges. Out-of-state customers will also receive their paperwork by US Mail. You will need to take these forms (invoice and Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin) to your local DMV office to complete the title registration and licensing process.

After registration, don’t forget to contact your local insurance agent or online broker to arrange for insurance for the new motorcycle.

You could receive the paperwork by mail before the delivery of the motorcycle by truck. Do NOT register the new motorcycle before you actually take delivery!

After placing the order, you may be anxious about the delivery.

Please note that the tracking information for freight deliveries is only an estimate. The date of delivery to the closest freight hub may be several days before the actual delivery to your address. The freight company will contact you to set up the date for delivery. The truck driver may call to arrange the delivery time on that date.

On the day of delivery, someone must meet the truck to receive the motorcycle.

When your motorcycle arrives, please inspect the crate for damage while the truck driver is present. Don’t worry about minor damage to the exterior of the carton. Some damage to the carton is to be expected and does not necessarily mean there is damage to your motorcycle.

Ask the driver to note any damage on their paperwork. Take photos of any damage to the cardboard carton.

CSC Motorcycles carefully packs the new motorcycle for shipment - but can’t protect the shipment once it leaves. If there is major damage to the crate and you feel there is corresponding major damage to your motorcycle, please call CSC while the driver is still present.

Call CSC Motorcycles at 909-445-0900 for return authorization. The truck driver will reload the motorcycle, and the trucking company will arrange the return to CSC.

NOTE: If you refuse delivery without a return authorization, YOU will be responsible for the return shipping charges.

Damage in shipping is very rare! If everything looks good, sign for your motorcycle and get ready to open the biggest package you've ever received!
